Horizons Migration Tool automates the conversion from Horizons
Manufacturing to Dynamics GP Manufacturing.
The Migration Tool converts the following records from Horizons to GP:
Bills of Material: Since Horizons supports much
larger Component Sequence Numbers than GP, the Bill of Materials
migration supports several different methods of renumbering Horizons
Sequence Numbers to GP Sequence Numbers. Additional options
allow mapping of ECO Numbers, Item Revision Numbers, and other key
Finished Good Defaults values. This process also creates Item
Engineering records.
Routings: Because Horizons does not require a
Routing, the Migration Tool can create a "Default" blank routing in
GP. The Routing Migration Wizard can move Departments, Work
Centers, Cost Centers, and Operation Codes. The Mapping tool
allows changing names and/or merging Departments, Work Centers, Cost
Centers and Opertion Codes during the migration process.
Site Changer: Horizons implementations often use
a number of RAW and/or WIP Locations. The Site Changer can
re-map multiple Sites from Horizons to new (or combined) Sites in
GP.
